Starting on 15th May, Greek airline, Aegean Airlines will start a twice-per-day service between London Stansted and Athens in Greece. Both economy and business-class seats will be available and flights depart London at 10. 20am and 8pm. The return flights from Athens in Greece will be 7. 30am and 5. 10pm - all times are local times. A spokesman for Aegean Airlines said [quote] "Thanks to this move, Aegean will cover the most popular destination abroad and in overall six of the seven largest destinations abroad from Athens". Athens is a popular destination for holiday makers and offers a wide range of cultural and historical attractions. Athens Airport provides connections to flights all across the world and carried over 16. 5 million passengers through the airport in 2007 - a number which was 10% above 2006.
