Hong Kong is an extraordinary place to visit. This stunning city will leave you with some extremely rich and fond memories and has something for every kind of visitor. Why is this country unique? Well, it is still under Chinese authority, and yet it is perhaps one of the most capitalist spots on the planet. This island country has a long and turbulent history. It was ruled by the British until 1997 and was then handed back to the Chinese under special measures'. Thus, it is a place where East and West really do meet but live well together and have a good rapport. Because of this, Hong Kong remains an interesting, diverse place.
There is so much to do in Hong Kong that it's hard to fit everything in. One of the most popular attractions is Aberdeen Harbour. This place is where thousands of people literally live on junk boats'. The boats are endlessly lined up with people going about their daily business under the watchful eye of tourists. The Aberdeen Harbour is a fascinating place to visit. Additionally, some of the places in this area have great reputations. You should also try to see the Symphony of Lights. This is a wonderful extravaganza each evening when the buildings are all lit up, there is a narration which traces the history of Hong Kong and which then concentrates on looking forward with regard to the future of the island. Hong Kong has a brilliant public transport system and is relatively small and compact, so make sure you see this really unique destination as soon as possible. Most major airlines fly to Hong Kong and these include, BA, Klm, among others.
