More passengers turn to Silverjet the Business class only airline

Thursday 08 May 2008 1:03pm

April saw the number of passengers travelling with Silverjet for the second time or more increasing. More than a quarter of its passengers in April had previously flown with Silver since it started operating just over a year ago. The airline currently operates two routes - from London to New York which is a twice daily flight, and London to Dubai which is a daily service. Silverjet is a business-class only airline with passengers experiencing a luxury service on their flight. Private terminals are available to check-in at at both Luton and Dubai airports; passengers can try the gormet food on board; showers are available at the airport lounge; passengers can check-in late before flying - and onboard, each seat is capable of converting into a 6ft flat bed. With this high level of service, its no wonder that the airline is proving popular with business travellers. Lawrence Hunt from Silverjet said that advance bookings for May indicate that the month should beat previous records for passengers carried. Silverjet has recently received a $25 million investment and is looking to expand its destinations to Asia, the Far East, Africa and Middle East.
