Robin Hood Airport gets more popular

Doncaster/Sheffield's Robin Hood Airport has seen continuing passenger numbers as more people use the airport. Despite only opening as an airport in April 2005, over 2. 75 million people have flown from the north of England airport. The airport serves almost 50 destinations across the world with direct non-stop flights from the airport which is on the border between Doncaster and Sheffield. More passengers are taking advantage of the airport, rather than use the Manchester or East Midlands airports. Poland is a popular destinations for both travellers and Polish people living in the surrounding area wanting to fly back to their home country. Dublin is a particulary popular route with Ryanair having flown over 250,000 passengers on that route since April 2005.
