Monday 13 Jul 2009 8:43am

Flybe has release of a number of its winter 2009-10 services early, including around 480 weekly flights from Gatwick Airport, for travel from October 25. The range of available flights from London Gatwick includes ten regional services including Aberdeen, Belfast, Dusseldorf and Newquay. Flybe will operate services to winter sports destinations including Geneva, Chambery and Salzburg from Exeter Airport and Southampton Airport and will continue to offer flights to Mediterranean hotspots, including Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Palma. The carrier's chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said: 'Flybe recognises that times are tough for travel planning this year, with business and leisure travellers alike having to keep a close eye on their budgets. 'The early release of a selection of our most popular winter routes sees us rewarding our loyal passengers and listening and responding to their needs, enabling them to plan their winter travel in advance. ' In other Flybe news, the airline will expand its domestic flight network this summer with an additional service from London Gatwick to Guernsey.
