Air Berlin Announces New Flights from London Gatwick

Monday 13 Dec 2010 9:53pm

The second largest airline carrier of Germany, Air Berlin, recently announced that it intends to begin new service from London Gatwick. The additional flights, scheduled to commence in February, 2011, will travel to Nuremburg and Hanover two times each day. This new service corresponds to Air Berlin's acceptance of late into the Oneworld Alliance, which provides travelers with an increased amount of competitive alternatives as they travel. Flying from Gatwick's North Terminal, flights to Hanover will run two times per day during the week, once on Saturday and there will be no service on Sundays. Flights to Nuremburg will follow a like schedule with one exception in that there will be a Sunday flight. The administrators of Gatwick have established a goal of a 20% increase in traffic by the year 2018, so these recent additions of flights and destinations is but the beginning of changes which should benefit those who fly from this airport.
