German airline Air Berlin has announced that it will extend its range of flights from London Stansted Airport with nine new destinations in its 2008-09 winter season flight programme. The new destinations include Varadero in Cuba, Cancun in Mexico, Punta Cana and Samana in the Dominican Republic, and Miami and Fort Myers in the USA. The other new Air Berlin destinations from London Stansted Airport are Male in the Maldives, Bangkok in Thailand, and Mombasa in Kenya. Air Berlin's country manager for the UK and Ireland Titus Johnson said: 'Air Berlin has a great reputation for providing full service at lower fares, and we're excited to now be able to offer travellers from London, east England and beyond even more choice to an exciting range of long haul destinations. ' Mr Johnson added: 'Air Berlin is already unique in being the only direct European connection into Fort Myers, providing quick and efficient access to Florida's Gulf Coast.
