Thursday 16 Jul 2009 9:03am

British Airways will open a new lounge for its premium passengers and top-tier oneworld alliance members at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on May 11. Customers will be able to take advantage of free wireless internet access in work and entertainment zones, as well as a safe play area for children. The 300-seat lounge will be used by passengers flying from London to Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Lisbon, Helsinki and Vienna. Silla Maizey, BA's customer director, said: 'The new and amazingly spacious lounge offers the same fabulous luxury and comfort as the lounge complex in Terminal 5. It will bring the glamour back to Terminal 3. ' BA will also open a new 250-seat lounge in Terminal 3 this year when it transfers long-haul flights to Singapore, Sydney and Bangkok from Terminal 4. In other news, British Airways recently launched a buy one get one free ticket offer on business class flights for travel between June and October this year.
