Silverjet breaks more records for its business class only service in March

Wednesday 02 Apr 2008 8:01pm

Business class only airline, Silverjet has announced a record month for March with passenger numbers rising almost 25% compared to February. Silverjet operate two routes - from London Luton to New York and London Luton to Dubai - both are business class only flights. Easter is traditionally a quiet time for business class travel, but despite this, March was a record month for both passengers and revenue. Silverjet's Chief Executive, Lawrence Hunt said "Whilst the economic climate is very challenging for all airlines, Silverjet's fares at up to 50 per cent discount to legacy airlines business class fares are attracting an increasing number of corporate customers". The airline's flights from Luton to New York operate twice each day, and the Luton to Dubai service operates once per day. Silverjet is one of the first airlines to offer a private terminal at both ends of a flight (in Luton and Dubai) for travellers to have a first class service. 30 minute check-in, spacious cabins, flat beds, gormet food and exclusive lounges with showers have been well received by business travellers.
