Brisbane Airport opens groundbreaking new Emirates lounge

Australian city, Brisbane has just opened a new Emirates airport lounge for business and first class passengers and marks a first for Australia. Emirates passengers flying from Brisbane will be able to see a 360 degree view of the airport and its surroundings and also board their flight directly from the lounge. The Airbus A380 superjumbo that has two passenger decks, and the new lounge allows direct access to each deck - making boarding quicker and a more pleasant experience for Emirates passengers. 172 passengers can be seated comfortably in the new lounge, dining area and business zones. The area also features flat screen TVs, complimentary gormet food and designer toilets. Desley Boyle, Queensland's tourist minister said [quote] The lounge is another important investment by Emirates in Brisbane and Queensland and is a cornerstone of the airport redevelopment. It will provide the international level of comfort and service expected by business travellers from across the world". Emirates plans to use its first Airbus A380 superjumbo on the London to Dubai route to start on December 1st.
