What more could you wish for in one city? Enjoying a relatively temperate climate, Sydney offers a great opportunity to experience some excellent weather without being too hot and uncomfortable most of the time, although the peak summer temperatures can be quite hot. Being the most populated of Australian cities, with over 4 million people living in Sydney it is also a real melting pot of cultures, something that Sydney and its people are very proud of. The most immigrants have come from the United Kingdom, but Chinese, Vietnamese and New Zealanders also have a significant influence. But top of most peoples list are taking a trip down to the harbour, so that you can capture the view of the Opera House and the Bridge for yourself. You should also think about coming down again of an evening, because again the views are simply stunning. There are many museums and art galleries to visit. One of these is the Australian Museum which is home to an amazing collection of anthropological and natural history exhibits. Even non museum lovers will be intrigued by the artefacts and it is a fascinating day out for the whole family. Shoppers will delight in the various shops and boutiques which Sydney has to offer ranging from speciality shops to the large department stores. Try taking a trip to Paddy's Market, for a really different day out. Sports lovers will also find that Sydney has a vibrant sporting scene with lots of different tastes catered for. Culture vultures will also be amazed by the quality and range of some of the shows and performances to be found in Sydney, from small very informal venues to the sheer grandeur of the Opera House. Nightlife in Sydney is also very dynamic, with something for all and some really excellent clubs and bars. For those with more placid tastes, fine dining experiences are also very easy to come by. So make sure that Sydney is top of your list when planning a trip to Oz.
