British carrier Virgin Atlantic has announced that it is 'flying high' on a wave of recent successes including winning three British Travel Awards. Virgin Atlantic was named the best provider of long-haul flights, business class products and economy class services. The chief executive of Virgin Atlantic Steve Ridgway described the airline's haul of awards as 'an amazing achievement'. Mr Ridgway added: 'The travellers that voted clearly love flying with us whether they are in upper class or economy which is a tribute to our people, our innovative products and high standards in customer service. ' Virgin Atlantic also plans to launch a number of new services soon. Among the plans is the expansion of Virgin Atlantic services to the Asia, with a new flight from London Heathrow Airport to Hong Kong. The planned second daily flight doubles Virgin's capacity on the Hong Kong route and offers improved connections to Australia. The new service will begin operations from 4th December.
