Japan Airlines to improve inflight menus

Saturday 07 Mar 2009 8:31am

Japan Airlines has announced plans to enhance its in-flight meal service on flights to European destinations. The airline will extend its current in-flight catering provision on its services to the USA to its flights from Tokyo to London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris. Japan Airlines' business class customers will now be offered a wider menu for their in-flight meal, as well as a more personalised service. The changes include a selection of eight small dishes for the first course, increased from the current choice of three, and the main meal option of meat or fish to go with freshly-cooked rice. Japan Airlines is the second biggest airline in Asia in terms of passenger numbers, operating flights to some 214 airports in 33 countries, including 60 airports in Japan. In other news, Japan Airlines carried out a test flight using a sustainable biofuel on January 30th this year.
