Football fans gearing up for Champions League trips

Following the quarter-final draw of the Champions League on 20th March, football fans from all over Europe will be making travel arrangements to support their teams. The draw for offers some interesting travel opportunities for Manchester United and Arsenal fans in particular, while Chelsea fans will have to make the 220 mile trip from London to Liverpool for the first leg and Liverpool fans will make the corresponding trip a week later for the second leg. This marks the fifth consecutive Champions Leageue competition that Chelsea and Liverpool have been drawn against each other. Supporters of reigning champions Manchester United will be booking flights to the Portuguese city of Porto to see how they fare in the second leg of their battle with FC Porto, who knocked them out of the competition five years ago. Arsenal fans can also look forward to some east coast sunshine in Spain for the first leg of their match against Primera Liga team Villarreal. German Bundesliga team Bayern Munich and Spanish high-fliers Barcelona have also been drawn against each other to complete the draw. First leg matches will take place on April 7th and 8th, while second leg matched will be played on April 14th and 15th. The final will be held in Rome on May 27th.
