Exeter Airport plans big expansion

Monday 07 Jul 2008 11:43am

A draft plan for Exeter Airport's expansion has been unveiled which includes a vision for the airport to be the 'airport of voice for the south-west' of England. Key to this expansion is to extend its relationship with cheap flight/budget airline Flybe. The airline currently operates flights to Brussels, Nice, Paris, Dublin and Amsterdam from the airport. Flybe plans new routes over the coming months and years which Exeter Airport knows will give passengers more choice of destinations to fly to for scheduled as well as charter flights. Also included in the expansion are plans for improving and extending the runway and attached taxi-ways - both key to allowing more and bigger aircraft to use the airport. For passengers, expansion of any airport provides more choice of destinations to fly to. The final part of the airport's improvements include better airport and terminal facilities, better public transport as well as being better to the environment.
