Tuesday 01 Jul 2008 12:31pm

iPods and iPhones are extremely popular devices and United Airlines have announced that their inflight entertainment systems are compatible with these devices. Passengers in first class and business class can plug their iPod or iPhone into their own 15 inch screen and play content. Transatlantic routes to Washington will be the first to receive the new service. Ultimately passengers will be able to listen to, or watch what they want if they can't find anything suitable on our inflight entertainment system. A spokesman said [quote] 'United will continue to provide services and technology that makes our customers' travel experiences more relaxed and enjoyable. ' Although the new iPod and iPhone connectivity won't be available in economy, United Airlines are set to reconfigure all its aircraft over the next two years to provide more on-demand entertainment options in all classes. Business & first class will also have new lie-flat seats.
