Local people travelling from the airport will now be able to catch a bus every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 or 60 minutes during evenings and on Sundays. As Stansted is a 24 hour operation with flights happening at all hours of the day and night, providing an environmentally service to both passengers staff has been long awaited. A spokesperson from the airport said [Quote] "Stansted Airport is very much a 24-hour business and it is only right that, where possible, we look to provide 24-hour public transport services to meet the needs of both our staff and passengers" It is expected that the service will prove popular with people from the surrounding area using the new bus service rather than parking at the airport.
