Icelandair increase flights to Reykjavik in Iceland

Iceland based Icelandair have announced plans to increase capacity on its flights from London Heathrow to Reykjavik. Starting in Summer 2008, the airline will operate two flights a day between Heathrow and the Icelandic capital. Announced at the same time is the addition of flights from Reykjavik to Toronto, Canada service and stopping of the Reykjavik to Baltimore, USA service. The Manchester and Glasgow to Reykjavik flights will continue as normal. Icelandair's services centre around its hub and base in Reykjavik and through this base it provides indirect flights from North America to Europe including Boston to London, New York to London, Orlando to London and Halifax to London. The airline also announced that Self service check-in at the Reykjavik airport now accounts for 30% of all passenger check-in.
