Lufthansa the most reliable airline at Heathrow

In statistics released by the Civial Aviation Authority (CAA), German airline Lufthansa was named as the most reliable airline flying from London's Heathrow airport. In 2007, Lufthansa flights were delayed by an average of only 12. 22 minutes - a full 7 minutes less than the airport's average delay across all airlines. Marianne Sammann from Lufthansa said [quote] "2007 was another record breaking year for Lufthansa as we set a new airline record for passengers carried to and from the UK and Ireland for the second successive year". Lufthansa passengers has an excellent reputation amongst passengers and has seen considerable growth in the number of passengers that the airline carries each year. Lufthansa has placed orders for Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft and its recently opened new terminal at Frankfurt airport offers improved boarding to this new double-decker aircraft.
