More BA flights move to Terminal 5 at Heathrow

Saturday 10 May 2008 2:13pm

British Airways have announced that from 5th June, it will move more flights to Heathrow's new Terminal 5. The flights concerned are existing flights from Terminal 4 at Heathrow and the following will move: - New York, Phoenix, Lagos, Cape Town, Bangalore, Beijing, Cairo and Abuja. Despite the initial problems with Terminal 5, BA's Chief Executive said that Terminal 5 is now working well and that it is capable of supporting the additional flights that move to there from 5th June. The flights were due to move earlier in the year, after the end of March opening, but operational problems and delays for passengers and luggage resulted in British Airways suspending any other flights moving to there until after all the problems were sorted out. Over 1. 4 million passengers have used Terminal 5 since it opened 6-7 weeks ago and reports from passengers have been favourable in the last few weeks. For passengers flying to the destinations that will move to Terminal 5, if you have any questions about where to go, or what to do, please contact British Airways direct.
