British Airways passengers urged to check Terminal 5 flights

BA passengers flying after 27th March are asked to double-check their tickets to ensure they turn-up at the right terminal. From 27th March, British Airways will start its move of operations to Heathrow's new Terminal 5 - meaning that some flights will take-off from this new terminal from this date. From 27th March, the following flights WILL move to the new Terminal 5: - all domestic flights (ie. all flights within the UK) - all European flights - EXCEPT for flights to Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Nice and Helsinki - flights to Tripoli, Johannesburg, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Tokyo, Hong Kond and Miami From 30th April, the remaining long-haul flights will move, except for flights from Heathrow to Singapore, Sydney and Bangkok. Passengers should double-check their tickets and if necessary contact British Airways direct for clarification. British Airway's commercial director said [quote] "The opening of Terminal 5 heralds a new era in air travel. Customers can look forward to a calmer, smoother, simpler airport experience at Heathrow". London Transport has also announced that from 27th March, it will operate up to 16 buses an hour to the new terminal from various locations across London.
