British Airways increase flights to South America

Friday 18 Jan 2008 8:24am

From Autumn 2008, British Airways will increase services from London Heathrow to Buenos Aires in Argentina. The new service will be direct without a stopover in Sao Paulo which will reduce flight time by 2 hours. The service will also change to a daily service rather than the existing four times a week. A spokesman for the airline said that South America is a growing market for BA and demand for both business and leisure travellers continues to increase. The new flights are in response to the demand. BA has also recently announced that some flights from its London Gatwick base will increase in frequency, including London to St. Lucia which will change to three times a week and fly non-stop rather than via Antigua, also reducing the flight time by 2 hours.
