Business class seat improvements on Continental

Friday 01 Aug 2008 8:25am

First class business cabins on Continental flights are to get a facelift as the airline installs new completely flat business class seats. The seat offers laptop and USB plus, iPod connectivity, storage space for personal effects and up to 2 metres of sleeping space with the seat is fully flat. Long haul and transatlantic flights will be the first to get the new seating with the airline's Boeing 777s having the seats installed first in autumn 2009. Continential Airlines CEO, Larry Kellner, said 'Continental continues to invest in its product to make flying more comfortable for our global customers. We created a brand-new seat designed to lie completely flat, without compromising functionality or effective use of cabin space. Continental are aiming their business class seats to have the extra space and amenities of first class, but at a business class price tag. I'm not sure what first class passengers would think about this!
