Flybe to increase domestic capacity between Cardiff Airport and Glasgow

Thursday 12 Feb 2009 8:42am

Regional airline Flybe has announced plans to expand passenger capacity on its domestic flight service from Cardiff Airport to Glasgow later this year. The airline said that it is making more seats available to its customers to 'fill the void' caused by bmibaby suspending its operations on the same route from March 29th. A spokesperson from the airline also claimed that the move to increase services between Cardiff and Glasgow would reinforce Flybe's commitment to offering 'convenient, affordable travel between the two destinations'. Flybe's chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: 'We look forward to welcoming our new customers on this important route and again reaffirm our determination to serving the people of Wales and to becoming Cardiff's number one airline. ' Mr Rutter also highlighted that Flybe is currently offering a sale to its customers with potential savings of up to 50 per cent on flights between April 1st and June 30th. Flybe operates a European network of flights that serves destinations including Alicante, Paris, Geneva and Milan in addition to its domestic services to airports such as Aberdeen, Belfast and Manchester.
