Twice daily flights to Tel Aviv introduced by Bmi

Tuesday 14 Apr 2009 8:01pm

Bmi will begin operating its twice weekly flight service between Heathrow and Tel Aviv today (30th March). Bmi has cited the unprecedented high demand it has experienced for the Tel Aviv service since it was launched last year as the reason for the increased regularity of flights. It will be possible to connect to the service from regional airports across the UK including: Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Belfast. A spokesman from the airline claimed that the new Heathrow to Tel Aviv flights will be 'ideal' for anyone planning a business trip or short holiday in Israel with the new scheduling of flights at the beginning and end of the day. An A330 aircraft will operate on the route from May, which will offer Business Class passengers fully-flat beds and an on-board chef. Recently, bmi has announced a selection of new flight destinations from Heathrow Airport, including Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. Bmi has grown to operate 1,700 flights every week to and from 36 airports in the UK, Europe, India, Saudi Arabia, the US and the Caribbean since it began trading as Bmi in 2001.
