For glamour, sophistication and a real sense of luxury, look no further than Biarritz. Nestling on the southern tip of the French cost, on the Bay of Biscay, this is a place where you will find sunny skies and fantastic beaches, for most of the year. And not just any beaches, the beaches here have been awarded accolades as being not just the best beaches in France but indeed in the whole of Europe. Whilst it is an ancient town, having had settlers here from the 9th Century, it is a very modern and chic town, with plenty for tourists to do, apart from the wonderful beaches.

Here you will find some really interesting museums, including the Museum of the Sea which is home to 24 aquariums, all of which contain seals, sharks or other marine life. Or you can take in some interesting architecture, with the 12th Century St Martin's Church being a popular attraction for visitors. The Russian Orthodox Church has the most amazing dome, which is a really vibrant blue. For those who like life a little edgier, there are two super casinos to visit and some great clubs, which are full of interesting people, from all walks of life. Surfing is also big news in Biarritz and there is lots of watersports available here, almost throughout the year. The cuisine on offer here is also superb, as you would expect from such a top destination. So it really does have something for everyone and getting to Biarritz is quite simple, since it has its own airport and airlines such as Air France, EasyJet, Ryanair and many others, all offer regular flights.
