DK Eyewitness Travel has created digital versions of its Top 10 Travel Guides series for the iPhone and iPod touch. People who own the mobile devices can now download the digital guides - which were developed by DK Eyewitness Travel in association with Coolgorilla - from Apple's online App Store. Ten popular travel destinations - New York, London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Cancun, Dubai, Paris, Rome and Bangkok- are all encompassed by the guide. Users will be able to find places to eat, browse maps, read about top sights and also make use of helpful tools including a currency converter. The head of digital licensing for DK Publishing, Tom Hall, said: "We are delighted to be launching DK's Top 10 guides for iPhone and iPod touch users. "The series is hugely successful in print, and the clear, structured format of its content lends itself perfectly to digital platforms in this manner," he added. The iPhone and iPod touch also offer users the capability to access websites such as ‘Just the Flight Mobile’, where they can book flights, catch up on travel news or read more travel guides.
