BA helps stranded XL Airways passengers

Monday 22 September 2008 7:03 AM

In response to airline XL Airway's announcement that they have had to suspended their operations, British Airways is offering a special one-way fare for stranded customers.

The special fare is available to XL Airways customers who have already travelled on the outward leg of their journey and have return travel booked from 12th September 2008 to the UK or Florida, the Caribbean, Egypt, Israel and all European destinations.

BA is also offering a discount on its current World Offer fares to XL Airways customers who have booked travel with the airline, have not yet travelled and are due to do so over the next few months.

In order to take advantage of either of these offers, customers must have proof of their flight purchase with XL Airways.

Currently affected customers can book with British Airways directly by calling 0844 493 0 787.

Although British Airways’ flights to these destinations are already busy, the airline has promised that it will do all it can to repatriate as many of XL Airway's customers who book with them as possible
