bmibaby announce a new route from Birmingham to Madrid

Friday 14 September 2007 11:59 PM
As airlines go, bmibaby isn't as often in the news as Ryanair or easyJet, but its new route announcement has got it into people's sights again.

Starting on 7th December 2007, bmibaby will fly from Birmingham to Madrid with prices starting from £24.99 including taxes.

The flight will initially depart on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday each week - with the initial four times a week flight becoming more frequent as demand increases.

bmibaby makes this new route a first of being the only airline to offer flights to Madrid from the West Midlands area. Demand by passengers is expected to be high from the Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton catchment areas.

With Madrid having excellent shopping facilities, tapas bars and a lively nightlife, the temperate climate is expected to prove popular with initial passenger demand looking strong.
