BA completes transfer to Heathrow Terminal 5

Friday 31 October 2008 8:31 AM

British Airways has now completed the transfer of its operations to Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport.

Flights to Boston, Calgary, Denver, Dubai, Montreal and Seattle were among a dozen services to be moved from Terminal 4.

BA flights to Calcutta, Chennai, Delhi, Dhaka and Shanghai now also operate from Terminal 5, along with services to Islamabad when there are resumed. Islamabad operations have been suspended following a bomb blast in the city.

British Airways' transfer of long-haul flights to the Terminal 5 facility was a phased operation in order to avoid the severe problems that occurred during its March opening.

However, flights including those to Bangkok, Barcelona and Sydney will continue to operate from their current locations before being moved to Terminal 3 in 2009.
