Monday 15 November 2010 9:39 AM
There are few places as romantic or exotic as the islands of the Caribbean, and with a wide assortment of hotels to cater to almost every traveler's tastes, you can expect plenty of full flights; in fact, British Airways has just announced that it will be adding flights to its London Gatwick / Caribbean routes beginning next March.

If you are in the mood for something romantic, then one of the best places to stay is the Verandah. This amazing all-suites resort sits on 30 acres of tropical gardens on the white sands island of Antigua. Whether you're traveling with your spouse of many years or a recent romantic interest, you'll find plenty of privacy along the hidden nature trails, the private verandas and the adults-only pool. For those who want a little more adventure on their trip, there are plenty of opportunities to kayak or scuba dive.

If you prefer a hotel with more on-site amenities, then you should take a look at the Almond Smugglers Cove Resort on the island of St. Lucia. This wonderful resort includes a spa, tennis courts, access to a nearby country club and golf course, a variety of pools and water sports, as well as a swim-up bar. And when you're ready to celebrate in the evening, you'll be able to imbibe at five different bars.
