Sunday 30 November 2008 10:08 AM

Emirates has just announced that it has successfully completed the transfer of its services to its new dedicated home at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3.

By November 18th, more than 500,000 passengers had already flown from Terminal 3 across Emirates' 101-destination, six-continent network.

As many travellers have arrived at the terminal and made use of the facility's hotels, premium lounges, restaurants, shops and other amenities.

Emirates Business class passengers to Dubai also have access to a range of luxuries at the terminal, such as a health spa and haute cuisine restaurants.

Tim Clark, Emirates’ president, attributed the "unmitigated success" of the transfer of operations to the new terminal 3 to a "well-orchestrated, phased move" and "unstinting" customer support.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Dubai Airports added: "The true measure of our success lies in the comfort and happiness of our customers; and the customer feedback on Terminal 3 is very positive.

"Dubai Airports will continue to work on enhancing customer service quality across all the terminals at Dubai International to make it not only the Middle East's busiest but the world's leading airport."

In other Dubai airport news, the duty-free section will celebrate its 25th anniversary on December 20th and will honour the occasion by offering a 25 per cent discount on a range of products.
