Lond haul flights in demand and prices are dropping

Tuesday 27 November 2007 1:31 PM
In a recent statement from Virgin Atlantic, the airline said that demand for its long haul services is higher than before and that air travel is also cheaper than its ever been before.

More and more people are buying long-haul tickets for flights to New York, Singapore and beyond. The industry is very competitive and these help from the passenger's perspective to drive prices down.

Business class only airlines such as Silverjet and enjoying increased demand as passengers are willing to pay a bit extra for comfort on their long haul flight. Even with this extra luxury and comfort, the price usually still works out cheaper than short haul flights.

Virgin Atlantic’s operates from Heathrow and Gatwick Airport in London and Manchester and Glasgow outside the main London airports.

Silverjet operate from London Luton Airport with flights to New York and flights to Dubai.
