Airline bans mile high club on Airbus A380 superjumbo

Thursday 22 November 2007 10:08 PM
In a highly unusual move, Singapore Airlines has made a public request for passengers on its new Airbus A380 aircraft to not engage in any sexual activities - including joining the mile-high club.

The superjumbo has private suites with double beds - ideal for people to join the mile-high club.

The request from the airline has come due to the private suites not having any sound-proofing, and by passengers abstaining there is no danger of other travellers or even crew from being offended.

Across the rest of its fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes - and even for other airlines, there hasn't been any specific requests - although passengers in general are expected to not cause offence to other passengers - especially since people are in close proximity to each other during the flight.
