The national tourist board of Denmark has revealed that the country's largest amusement park, Legoland Billund Resort, will open on April 24th.

The brand new attraction, which is located in west Denmark, has been a joint project between Legoland and Lalandia, two of the Denmark's largest and most popular family parks.

Elements from both attractions have been incorporated into the new Leogoland resort, including Legoland's safari areas and its Miniland zone, where famous landmarks are recreated with the help of millions of Lego bricks.

Visitors to the park will enjoy Lalandia's Aquadome tropical waterpark and its giant indoor play areas.

The new park joins anumber of other attractions on western Denmark, including Givskud Zoo, the Danfoss Universe science park, Koldinghus castle and a wealth of white sandy beaches.

UK travellers can catch flights to a number of Danish cities, including Copenhagen, Aalborg and Aarhus.
