New Dubai flights and executive lounge at Manchester

Monday 4 May 2009 11:29 AM

Dubai-based airline Emirates will offer a new flight between Manchester airport and Dubai as part of its summer schedule and a new executive lounge for its customers.

Emirates will begin operations on the route from June 1st. Customers using the route will have access to the airline’s 8,500 sq feet private lounge at the airport. This will see Emirates become the first foreign airline to have a passenger lounge at the airport.

Salem Obaidalla, Emirates senior vice president of commercial operations Europe, said: "Our Manchester services have continued to be one of our strongest operations from the UK, holding up even in the tough times we are working through now.

"So we're particularly delighted that we can reward our premium passengers with the facilities of what we are sure will be the finest lounge at the airport."
