Inverness to Manchester and Exeter and Southampton

Monday 12 May 2008 10:01 AM

Flybe has announced new flights from its base at Inverness to Manchester, Exeter and Southampton.

The new routes are part of the airline's summer schedule, and tickets for these new routes are on sale from the Flybe website from only £24.99 one-way including taxes.

The new service from Inverness to Manchester will operate twice a day.

From Inverness to Southampton will operate once a day and prices start from £45.99 one-way including taxes.

From Inverness to Exeter, flights will operate once a day with ticket prices from £32.99 one-way including taxes.

Flying from the South of England to North Scotland is an attractive proposition for many travellers as the 12+ hours journey is often mind numbing on the endless roads - even if you are lucky enough to not hit any traffic jams or accidents.

Rising petrol prices have also meant that driving is more expensive and when taking all factors into account, flying is often a more favourable and realistic alterative to driving.
