Delta Airlines starts Edinburgh to New York service

May 1st saw the first flight from Edinburgh to New York with Delta Airlines.

The service will operate daily and its a non-stop service between the two cities.  The flight departs Edinburgh at 11:50 and arrives in New York at 14:35 local time.

For the return, the flight departs New York at 22:00 and arrives back in Edinburgh at 10:20 local time.

Glen Hauenstein from Delta Airlines said [quote] "Delta's new flight connecting New York to Edinburgh continues our successful international expansion, which includes 13 new international destinations this year".

Delta Airlines currently offer 37 transatlantic flights.
