Bank holiday weekend expected to be very busy at airports

Friday 2 May 2008 9:15 AM
Budget airline easyJet has predicted that the May bank holiday weekend will prove very popular with passengers and expects over 450,000 people to use easyJet over the long weekend.

Typical British weather for the time of year means that while Europe is getting warmer, the UK is quite cold and the abundance of cheap flights means that passengers can fly abroad for roughly the same cost as going away in the UK.

Spain and Portugal are popular destinations with Malaga, Faro and Alicante being the top travel destinations.

easyJet bought GB Airways and has integrated it into the easyJet network allowing Manchester and Gatwick offers for easyJet to increase with London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham also proving popular for passengers.
