Robin Hood Airport Access Road

Sunday 13 May 2007 8:33 PM
Doncaster Airport, or Robin Hood Airport as its sometimes known, has started the first step to improving access to the airport.

At present, traffic for the airport goes through parts of Auckley and the former RAF finningley base.

The eight month project started last month with the majority of construction initially being on land already owned by the Airport's owners - Peel Holdings.

Any disruption to traffic will likely occur over the summer when a diversion is put in place.

Ultimately when the new access road is completed at the end of the year, it will greatly improve access to the airport and nearby business park - and also reduce the amount of traffic through Auckley.
