British Airways strike underway

BA staff are currently striking (20th March 2010) and will continue to do so until the 22nd March (inclusive). According to BA, over 65% of passengers should be able to fligh to their destinations during the strike.

At Gatwick Airport, all long-haul flights and over half of short-haul flights should operate as planned.

At Heathrow, BA has indicated that 60% of long-haul flights will continue with roughly 30% of short-haul flights planned to reach their destinations.

As always, it's best to call BA or the airport to find out whether you flight has been cancelled and also to allow additional time when checking in.

Note that a further strike is planned for 4-days, starting on the 27th March 2010.
