Expert advises advance booking for airport parking

Sunday 22 March 2009 9:11 AM

An expert has claimed that airport parking can be made much easier if you book in advance, particularly if this is done on the internet.

According to The Times newspaper’s Travel Doctor, arranging car parking the same day as your flight can cause a number of unforeseen problems which make the process highly stressful. It can be much easier to sort parking out on the internet in advance of your flight.

In an article for The Times, the Doctor commented: "Parking at an airport can be a stressful experience that is made worse because it costs substantially more if you turn up on the day without a booking.

"In peak season you might not get a place at all. But help is at hand - booking online in advance saves money and hassle."

The Doctor went on to say that staying in hotels close to airports can be advantageous for travellers, although deals should be researched before journeys are made.

The Times Doctor recently advised that asking in advance is the surest method of securing discounts on all kinds of holiday activities.
