More A380s will be flying in the sky soon

Although Singapore Airlines took delivery of the first and second Airbus A380 superjumbo plane - with the Singapore to Sydney route currently in operation, other airlines will soon start to take delivery of these new mamoth double decker planes.

Emirates Airlines has announced that it will fly its first delivered Airbus A380 on the Dubai to New York route - and will start that on October 1st.

On December 1st, the airline will start the London Heathrow to Dubai route and then in February 2009 it will fly the Sydney to Auckland route.

Each of these routes will be able to carry 14 first class, 76 business class passengers and 399 economy passengers on each flight.

Easy of the new A380 aircraft will be equipped to Emirate's high standards. Tim Clark, president of Emirates said [quote] "Our customers can rightly anticipate an exhilarating experience on the state-of-the-art aircraft, which will be especially appointed and equipped to Emirates' exacting standards".
