Loganair launches new Dundee routes

Loganair have just started selling tickets for its first scheduled flights from Dundee to Birmingham.Starting on 21st May, the Scottish airline introduces new services from the north-Scotland airport of Dundee - with more routes planned for the coming months and years. The Dundee to Birmingham service will operate three flights a week on weekdays and a Sunday service with ticket prices starting from £35 one-way. A new route between Dundee and Belfast is scheduled to start also on May 21st but is awaiting landing slot approval - tickets will be available to purchase once approval is given. Loganair's franchise agreement with Flybe is part of the plan to create a new base at Dundee and operate new routes from the airport. Although Loganair will operate the two new routes to Birmingham and Belfast, they will fly under the Flybe banner as part of the franchise agreement. Loganair's Chief Executive Peter Tierney said [quote] "The Midlands and Tayside are very important markets for us and having listened to our customers, we have decided to take this step of introducing a new route to a key destination".
