British Airways plan expanstion at London City Airport

Friday 16 March 2007 11:50 AM
British Airways (BA) has announced plans to expand its operations at London's City Airport in a move that will benefit many business travellers.

London City Airport is often used by business travellers looking to avoid the busy departure lounges of Heathrow and Gatwick and as such BA has announced that it will be providing 250 flights per week to six UK and European destinations by the end of March 2006.

That represents a 70 per cent increase on the current number of flights out of City Airport run by British Airways.

The move has been enabled by the creation of a new British Airways subsidiary, known as "City Flyer".
