Quantas puts tickets for A380 flights on sale

For those travellers who want to fly on one of the Airbus A380 superjumbo planes, another airline has announced tickets being able to be purchased for the new aircraft.

Quantas has put on sale tickets for their A380 which will start its first flight in early 2009.  The airline will start its first flight in October 2008 on the Melbourne, Australia to Los Angeles route.

For those travellers who haven't heard about the A380, its the first passenger plane with two decks along the full length of the plane.  It can carry 450 passengers with 14 first class cabins (which have double beds!), 32 in premium, 72 in business and 332 in economy.

The A380 offers passengers an extremely comfortable flight with each seat, even in economy having lots of room, significant noise reduction and a highly aclaimed inflight entertainment system for each passenger.

Quantas are also keen to promote the fact that the Airbus A380 is much better for the environment that other aircraft, provides reduced fuel consumption and emissions, less noise and greater efficiency.  In short, it has less impact on the enviroment that other Airbus or Boeing aircraft.
