Spanish based Clickair condemed as unsafe

Friday 15 June 2007 9:14 AM
Iberia, the Spanish airline recently launched Clickair - a cheap flights airline.

Spanish airline pilots have criticised Clickair for dangerous practices including doing take-offs with technical problems unresolved; incomplete documentation and poor regulations of aircraft flying times. Low-fuel landings were also highlighted as being the most dangerous with aircraft regularly having to circle at busy airports.

Despite this, Clickair are launching new routes from Barcelona to Edinburgh at the beginning of August.

Flying Abroad thoughts... travelling by plane is statistically one of the safest modes of transport. Although Clickair will I'm sure correct the issues raised by the airline pilots, this kind of publicity can only cause damage to its reputation with passengers.
