New BA lounge to open at Heathrow

Thursday 16 July 2009 9:03 AM

British Airways will open a new lounge for its premium passengers and top-tier oneworld alliance members at Heathrow’s Terminal 3 on May 11.

Customers will be able to take advantage of free wireless internet access in work and entertainment zones, as well as a safe play area for children.

The 300-seat lounge will be used by passengers flying from London to Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Lisbon, Helsinki and Vienna.

Silla Maizey, BA’s customer director, said: "The new and amazingly spacious lounge offers the same fabulous luxury and comfort as the lounge complex in Terminal 5. It will bring the glamour back to Terminal 3."

BA will also open a new 250-seat lounge in Terminal 3 this year when it transfers long-haul flights to Singapore, Sydney and Bangkok from Terminal 4.

In other news, British Airways recently launched a buy one get one free ticket offer on business class flights for travel between June and October this year.
