Eastern Airways is the UKs most punctual airline

The Civil Aviation Authority records details of all flights and from their statistics, the most on-time airline in the UK is Eastern Airways.

The results cover the first quarter of 2008 with Air Berlin and bmi coming as runners up.

Across the budget airlines, bmibaby was the most punctual followed by Ryanair and then Flybe with average delays of 10 and 11 minutes.

On many of the key routes, e.g. London to Edinburgh, easyJet was the most punctual airline and also for Aberdeen to London. 

So for passengers, if you want to fly within the UK, easyJet is your best bet.  If you want short-haul, Easter Airways, Air Berlin, Ryanair and bmibaby are the best options to ensure you get to where you want on time!
