easyJet launch flights from Birmingham

Continuing its every continuing growth, easyJet have announced plans to start operating from Birmingham Airport starting in December 2007.

Two routes will initially be available from the midlands airport - to Geneva and Grenoble.

Birmingham to Geneva will be a daily service - starting just in time for the winter skiing season with skiiers wanting to access the French and Swiss slopes.

Birmingham to Grenoble will be a twice per week service - again initially aimed at skiiers.

Prices start from £22.99 and £24.99 respectively for the two routes.

Birmingham Airport has no easyJet presence at present, but in December 2007 it will become the 79th airport in the easyJet network.

Birmingham is the UKs second biggest city and has a large catchment area including Wolverhampton and Coventry. Demand for cheap flights and cheap tickets is high and this is expected to drive

The new two routes takes the number of Easyjet routes to be over 300 for the first time.
